The Pittsburgh Opera's Madama Butterfly

The Pittsburgh Opera continues to expand their reach with exciting and diverse performances planned for the 20/21 season. Classics like Mozart’s The Magic Flute sit alongside contemporary operas like Charlie Parker’s Yardbird, which re-imagines the life and times of the jazz legend to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Since performances were put on hold, the opera has been actively releasing recordings of archival performances via radio and YouTube (even footage of a gingerbread house contest featuring the stars of last season’s Hansel and Gretel), and it is our reps under Darcy’s management who have done an incredible job creating word pictures to describe these beautiful operas to patrons to keep them looking forward to future performances. Thank you to them for making the start of this campaign successful, and for continuing Pittsburgh Opera’s long-standing commitment to artistic excellence!
