New Business Development Manager

The Company:Artsmarketing Services, Inc. (AMS) specializes in increasing earned and unearned income for non-profit organizations by conducting dedicated Subscription, Fundraising, and Membership telephone campaigns.  For over three decades, our firm has set records for generating Donor, Membership and Subscription revenue in the non-profit sector while maintaining the high standards of excellence demanded by our clients, which include symphony orchestras, theatres, opera and ballet companies, museums, public television stations, environmental organizations, health care institutions and national charities.


The Opportunity:

Our firm is currently seeking talented sales professionals to join our marketing team.  Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, the New Business Development Manager's (NBDM) number one priority is to prospect for new business in order to grow the company’s client base and increase sales.  This will be achieved through prospect calling (leads provided) and networking at industry conferences.  Once a prospect becomes interested in the company's services, the NBDM will prepare a formal, detailed proposal outlining the strategies necessary to achieve the prospect's goals, as well as thorough revenue and expense projections. 


The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be personable and possess a combination of savvy sales abilities and strong writing and presentation skills.  The candidate should expect a steep learning curve as they gain knowledge and understanding of the audience to whom they are selling and what challenges those prospective clients face.   In addition, the ideal candidate will be fluent in the art of building and cultivating relationships. 


A knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector is a distinct asset as are marketing, communications and project management skills that you bring to this Sales Position.  Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is crucial. Knowledge and comfort working in both a CRM and proprietary database are also assets.       


This is the ideal position for a responsible, self-motivated and well organized individual with superior verbal and written communications skills.  The successful candidate will work in a variety of diverse groups and will manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


This multi-tasking position requires the ability to speak and present confidently to senior staff, executives and board members from both client and prospective client organizations. 


Position Location - AMS Home Office in Toronto, Ontario.
